Healing vs. Sickness
The only thing that ever stopped Jesus Christ from healing and delivering those who were sick, was when He was rejected as their Healer:
” And [Jesus] could do no mighty work … And he marvelled because of their unbelief”
(Mark 6:1-6)
For many, Satan has managed to turn a straightforward, head on confrontation between sickness and faith into a cynical, mystery tour of theological points and personal opinions. Let us be clear, Satan is a killer, a thief and a destroyer (John 10:10) so make a decision today to stand in faith against him and the curse that is sickness.
Fill your soul (your mind, will and emotions) with the truth about God’s healing power and that same healing power will start to fill your body. As John writes:
“Beloved, I wish/pray above all things that you will prosper and be in health even as your soul [mind, will and emotions] prosper.”
(3 John v2).
I think it is safe to assume that he was praying in-line with God’s will…
Concerning the people in our passage, Christ pinpoints the real problem. Cutting through all the personalities, opinions and attitudes, the real issue is whether you believe or not. Note that the Lord was not shy in stating so.
If you are sick and need God to touch your body, don’t put yourself under pressure, just focus on filling your mind with His scripture concerning how He can and wants to heal you. Be sensible and take care of the obvious but absolutely trust God for the miraculous.
