Self-Image

A good self-image is exactly what God uses to equip you for greatness; to be a great witness to others you must bear witness to, “…every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus” (Philemon v6).

It is not a case of being a great man or woman of God, but rather a man or woman whose God is great! Great because of who He is, great in what He has done on the cross and great for the salvation, transformation and revelation He has put in your heart. You were God’s best idea, so He sent His best to save you!

God is big into good self image:

When Jeremiah thought he was not able or important enough, God told him:

“I am with thee…I have put my words in your mouth … I have this day set you over the nations and over the kingdoms” (Jeremiah 1:5-10).

When Gideon felt he was the least of the least and found himself hiding from his enemies God declared:

“The Lord is with you, you mighty man of valour” (Judges 6:11-16).
